Hey everyone as you may know last weekend the CKTV media group went up to Kokee this weekend to do some bonding. We went on hikes, made s'mores, and now I trust a lot of new people. So, here are a few things that made camp special.
The first thing that made camp special was getting to be closer with people that I might have not known or we just aren’t good friends. For example, maybe I don’t know one of the returning students. This weekend was a good opportunity to get to know the returning students. Even though I might have known some of the students I got to learn more and that may help us towards STN.
The next thing that made this camp special was learning to trust new people. For example the night hike was something that you needed to trust people. Just imagine you’re in the dark on a trail and you must walk through but still having to find objects. For this trail you must trust the person in front or if are the person in front you must warn the people behind you. You must shout things like TREE! Or TREE ROOT! But other than these things you must find objects and when you're done you must figure out how they relate to CKTV. For example, there was a glue stick this means we should always stick together.
Finally, the last thing that made this camp special was just the fact that we all have eachothers back and we think of each other as family. Now I know that I can trust these people. Even though I already know some people now I feel like I can trust these people. Let’s take Taylor Nishimoto for example when we were on the berry flats trail she helped me through the thorns and the mud. She is truly like a sister to me.
This Kokee trip was one of the highlights of my year. It was full of laughs and sometimes even falling I know for sure this was the best bonding experiences.
