So hey everyone this week’s blog topic is the dreaded presidential election. All american citizens know that Donald Trump is going to take over the big house on January 20, 2016. But honestly I thought that Hillary Clinton was going to win, totally #imwithher. But this was a hectic, confusing election I must say but here are some of the things that I learned from this election.
The first thing that I learned was that social media is a KILLER is you are running for president. Someone on the opposing side can immediately can pull up something that you said that can hurt your campaign. Always watch what you post because someone can pull up your page and it will be the end. For example, reporters have dug deep into Donald Trump’s internet history and have found something truly disgusting. On one of Mr. Trump’s favorite social media site Twitter he tweeted out about fake crime statistics. I mean what was he thinking and to add to it they were racially charged. This is just one example why you have to think before you text.
The second thing that I have picked up from this presidential election is the simpler way is probably the best way. If you go all out you will probably get confused with what you are doing and you campaign will fall down the drain. This is one of the reasons why a campaign can simply fail and why some campaigns fall even if the politician is good. I have seen many elections were there were great politicians and their campaigns were just a mess! Nothing was organized and it was just a mess. It hurts to see your politician fail.
The last thing I learned from the election is to always stick to one thing. As you can tell Donald Trump has said a lot of bad things. He was a businessman before and he knows that you can say untrue things to get to the top. But, it doesn’t really help when you're running for the president of the country. But, Hillary Clinton has been first lady and has saw the problems that america has had over the years. She would have made history by being the first lady president. Back to what I was saying you should always stick to what you're good at.
So that’s what I learned from this year’s election. This in my opinion was a very hectic election and anyone could have won. So that’s all for this week’s assigned blog.
